The Munster Tennis Hub @ Fota Island Resort - Terms & Conditions of Use as at 1st July 2020
General Acceptance
• The Munster Tennis Hub at Fota Island Resort (The Hub) is a premises of The Fota Collection managed and operated under contract to Tennis Ireland – Munster Branch t/a Munster Tennis. The Branch Committee of Munster Tennis have shared governance with the management of Fota Island Resort.
• The Munster Tennis Hub is a facility to be offered to all persons of all abilities of all genders and race without limitation by way of a subscription model.
• All users of The Munster Tennis Hub must respect & abide by Fota Island Resort rules which override any rules and privileges associated to your subscription of The Hub.
• The management accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to person or property whilst on the premises.
• Fota Island Resort and / or Munster Tennis reserves the right to refuse or terminate any application or renewal of subscription to The Munster Tennis Hub without notice and further explanation without penalty.
General Conduct
• It is expected that all users of The Munster Tennis Hub facilities act courteously and respectfully to their surroundings, fellow players, staff, officials and guests of hotel / lodges at all times.
• You are expected to dress appropriately in sportswear clothing, including suitable sports shoes, when on court. Gentlemen are not permitted to wear sleeveless garments and must wear a tee shirt / top that covers the torso at all times.
• All users / subscribers are to adhere to Health & Safety policies that are in place by Fota Collection and / or Munster Tennis, including eating and drinking on court, and are encouraged to be proactive in protecting selves and others.
Details of health & safety policies, including child protection, are available upon request.
Subscriptions / Fees
Use of The Munster Tennis Hub is offered on a yearly basis, with annual subscription fees charged in advance by way of a payment portal on our website www.tennishub.ie where payment is welcome by credit or debit card.
At time of publishing on 1st July 2020, annual subscription is €195 per person with each person agreeing to courts use as :
Fair Usage
Each player to feature on court must be selected from the valid active list of enrolled subscribers via the reconfigured online booking system.
Each subscriber is welcome to be on court once per day, for one session, seven days a week subject to availability.
Court time allowance may be reviewed from time to time without notice or obligation.
Non Subscribers Use
There is no allowance made for any guest use of the courts, nor a pay and play format.
Individuals partaking in group bookings co-ordinated by Munster Tennis and / or Fota Collection are permitted to use courts without the requirement of entering into separate personal subscriptions.
This can include but is not limited to provincial squad training, junior performance training, school holiday camps, corporate functions.
An allocation of court hours shall be dedicated for the use of hotel guests only each day, with guests required to make bookings via The Spa.
Munster Tennis may choose to operate Open Days and one off events when non subscribers are welcome to use the facilities on a no obligation sample basis.
Additional Fees Due
• Floodlighting – Charged at €5 per hour, via use of token coins.
Tokens are available for purchase via Spa Reception at Hotel. These fees may be waived and complimentary use of floodlights offered only by express written permission of the Fota Collection and / or Munster Tennis in advance of court use.
Maintenance
From time to time, the courts may be deemed “out of bounds” due to routine maintenance, details of which will be published in advance via www.themunstertennishub.ie.
Occasionally, it is to be accepted that emergency work may be necessary and prior notice may not be given.
Private Coaching
Munster Tennis can aid with the provision of arranging private tennis coaching upon request and shall only forward details of coaches who are qualified and insured via Tennis Coach Ireland.
Any arrangements you make for coaching shall be separate to these terms of use by way of private contract between player and coach. Any persons on court acting as a coach or player must be a subscriber to the use of facilities, unless prior permission is given by Munster Tennis.
Munster Tennis cannot be held responsible for any losses that may occur due to cancellations or postponements of training / coaching through withdrawal of services or facilities, by fault or otherwise.
Data Collection
Your personal data shall be collected at time of purchase request and will only be used to service your needs as a user of The Hub where we may contact you with offers and promotions in relation to your subscription.
This may include contracted third parties, including but not limited to Fota Golf, Fota Spa and Fota Adventure. Full details at www.tennishub.ie/data
Change of Terms
The Fota Collection and / or Munster Tennis reserve the right to amend or withdraw these terms and privileges at any time without penalty. Any additions or extra notices / requirements will be emailed to each subscriber as and when required.

- Court Times - The courts are open for use between 7am and 10pm inclusive every day, subject to availability.
- Times of Availability - Timetable will be viewable at www.tennishub.ie via an external link to booking system
- Making a booking – Subscribers are issued with a reference number to use an external booking system. Full details of use shall be forwarded upon receipt of payment along with codes for gates, doors and courts.
- Bookings of courts are operated on a fair and equal use basis with a one week window, subject to change without notice, with a maximum of one booking period per day, per week. This may be reviewed from time to time without notice or obligation.
- Changing / shower facilities – in light of safety protocols for Covid19, use of changing and toilet facilities is not encouraged, with players requested to arrive "ready to play". Players can use facilities at own risk, and requested to follow all sanitisation and social distancing protocols.
